Sliding Windows
Sliding Windows, Hilite Windows
Autoslide’s Automatic Sliding Window system can be retrofitted to sliding windows to enable easy opening via a simple push of a button or remote control.
Particularly useful for the elderly, disabled or physically challenged in wheelchairs as well as in situations where the sliding windows are mounted high up and can only be accessed using a ladder.
Another one of the many abilities of Autoslide is to automate sliding windows.
Many times, windows are located in places that are not easily reachable and, thus, go unopened for most of their life. With the Autoslide system, you can now open those hard-to-reach windows and let the fresh air or cool breeze into your home.
The Autoslide is also helpful in light-commercial situations, such as automatic serving windows or sliding windows in the reception area. It can also be used to automate other sliding panels, such as closets, kitchen doors and conference room doors.
The video above shows how Autoslide can be retrofitted to sliding windows without rehandling the motor. Autoslide can be fitted over the clear opening of the sliding window on the left at the top. If installation over the fixed panel is preferred, then rehandling of the unit will be required. The unit on the right will not need to be re-handed.
Another option is to fit Autoslide to the bottom of the sliding window over the fixed panel. No re-handing is required if done this way.
Wireless push buttons or remote controls can then be synced to work with both Autoslide systems or individually. The Toggle function on Dipswtich 7 should also be switched ON – push the button once to open, and the sliding window will stay open until the button is pressed again.
If one push button is synced to both Autoslide systems, both sliding window panels will open simultaneously.
